This past October, the Green Business unit of SCG International facilitated the introduction of the SCG Air Scrubber in Singapore. This innovative technology not only purifies polluted air but also enhances the efficiency of air conditioning systems. Its initial installation was at the Keppel Bay Tower, a standout among Singapore’s prime real estate developments, managed by Keppel Land. Notably, Keppel Bay Tower was the first building in Singapore to achieve the prestigious Green Mark Platinum (Zero Energy) award. The management has outlined sustainable strategies for the building, aiming to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 40% by 2030, relative to their 2010 figures.

“While Keppel Bay Tower has successfully met its Zero Energy building standards, the quest for advanced technologies and innovations to further optimize energy use remains a priority. Recognizing this, SCG International stepped in, drawing from our trust in the SCG Air Scrubber’s efficacy – a solution adept at enhancing the HVAC system’s cooling efficiency. Consequently, we presented a Proof of Concept (POC) to Keppel Bay Tower and began services on the 12th and 13th floors. This POC yielded a remarkable up to 30% energy conservation in the building’s air conditioning., persuaded Keppel Land to incorporate the SCG Air Scrubber throughout the building. Plans are also in motion to roll out the technology in other Keppel Land properties.
