SCG International Partners with KP Company in Laos

SCG International and KP Capture Laos Agricultural Market

Laos, August 30, 2024 — SCG International Corporation Co., Ltd and KP Company Limited, a leading distributor in Laos, have formalized their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement was led by Mr. Yongyos Pholtanawat, ASEAN Supply Chain Business Director, and Mr. Pasatxay Philaphandeth, President along with Mr. Yasuo Philaphandeth, Senior Vice President. This partnership designates KP as the official distributor of A+Grow agricultural transport vehicles and equipment in Laos.

ASEAN Supply Chain Business team from SCG International has identified a significant opportunity in Laos’ agricultural engine market, valued at over 2.2 billion baht. Laos market is experiencing strong growth compared to other ASEAN countries. Consequently, SCG International plans to introduce brand A+Grow, including agricultural transport vehicles, plows, and tractor tires into this sector. The aim is to generate revenue and capture market share, particularly with Rod-Sing, an agricultural transport vehicle known for its robust performance. The Rod-Sing can also operate effectively in flatlands, and mountainous areas, and can be easily adapted for different uses. It also facilitates the transport of agricultural produce from remote areas and offers farmers an affordable option compared to traditional vehicles like the E-Tan or pickup trucks.

Although Laos has a population of approximately 7.7 million people, but it remains a market with high business potential. In addition to agriculture, the country’s highlands and mountainous terrain. Along with its rich mineral resources such as gold, copper, iron, included biomass and other minerals, present significant opportunities for development. This potential allows SCG International to expand its business and further enhance the company’s capabilities.
