MUANG THONG THANI, Thailand — 11 March 2026 — Hawaiian Cement (United States), a key business partner of SCG in importing SCG Low Carbon Cement, has received the “Thailand’s Best Friend Award 2026,” presented by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, in recognition of its continued support for Thai products and its role in promoting Thailand’s international trade.
The award ceremony took place at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani. The event was presided over by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and attended by Ms. Suphajee Suthumpun, Minister of Commerce, who extended her congratulations to the award recipients. The Thailand’s Best Friend Award 2026 was presented to 20 major importers from around the world.
Mr. Darren Orr, General Manager of the Cement Division at Hawaiian Cement, accepted the award on behalf of the company. Mr. Michael Beck of International Materials Inc., a business partner of both SCG and Hawaiian Cement, also joined in congratulating the award recipient.
This recognition reflects the strength of the partnership and confidence in the quality of SCG Low Carbon Cement, a high-quality cement product that meets international standards. As construction markets increasingly emphasize sustainability and measurable environmental performance, the collaboration supports contractors and project owners seeking lower-carbon material options without compromising on quality or reliability.
The achievement was made possible through the collaboration between CGS, the developer and producer of high-quality low-carbon cement, and SCG International, which has an office in the United States and is responsible for business coordination, technical and knowledge support, raw material sourcing, and logistics in a close and agile manner. The partners aim to continue strengthening coordination across the supply chain—from product planning and technical guidance to logistics and customer support—so that projects can adopt low-carbon construction solutions more efficiently.
