Mr. Yongyos Pholtanawat, Vice President – Global Commercial and Distribution Business of SCG International and Chairman of the Thailand–Bangladesh Business Council (TBBC), together with the delegation, attended TOP THAI BRANDS 2026 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The event was organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Thailand.
The opening ceremony was honoured by the presence of H.E. Mr. Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, Commerce Minister of Bangladesh, who delivered the opening remarks. He highlighted the importance of expanding Thai investment and further strengthening trade relations between Thailand and Bangladesh.
The event was held to promote economic cooperation between Thailand and Bangladesh, while creating opportunities for Thai businesses to expand their exports into the South Asian market. Key activities included business matching sessions and product showcases across a range of categories, including packaged food and beverages—with a particular focus on halal products—cosmetics and beauty products, as well as home décor and household items.
The opening ceremony was also attended by H.E. Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh, and Mr. Anusorn Kautipvittaya, Minister Counsellor (Commercial), along with senior representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka and business leaders from both countries.
