SCG International Corporation Co., Ltd (SCG International), led by Mr. Yongyos Pholtanawat, ASEAN Supply Chain Business Director, and Ms. Wattanee Taeracoop, Energy Business Division Manager, has received the CSR DIW CONTINUOUS AWARD 2023 from the Department of Industrial Works for three consecutive years. The award was granted through three main projects, namely, the Agricultural and Tourism Development Project in Nakhon Luang District (Wat Ban Dai Community), the Community Enterprise Project in Wat Rue Khaeng, and the Support for Youth Agriculture Development in Wat Ban Dab School Community. These initiatives underscore the company’s commitment to societal responsibility, aiming to drive local economies and promote sustainable environmental practices.
The CSR-DIW Continuous Award consists of 7 standards of responsibility and 9 practice guidelines set by the Department of Industrial Works to serve as a roadmap for the development and elevation of industries as a central mechanism in driving the local economy while prioritizing the quality of life for people and the environment, allowing industries to coexist sustainably with communities.
These projects emphasize the company’s commitment to social responsibility, sustainable environmental practices, and supporting local economies. SCG International also follows ESG principles (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance), ensuring consistent social responsibility and operational standards. Two plants under SCG International received the award through the ‘SCG CSR In Process’ project, which promotes community-driven economic activities in the surrounding areas. The three projects recognized are as follows:
1. The Agricultural and Tourism Development Project in Nakhon Luang District (Wat Ban Dai Community)
2. The Community Enterprise Project in Wat Rue Khaeng
3. The Support for Youth Agriculture Development in Wat Ban Dab School Community
